Fire Safe Testing Facility at EPSSAT
EPSSAT is equipped with a cutting-edge Fire Safe Testing facility designed to validate the fire resistance of valves, actuators, gaskets, seals, fittings, and other industrial components. Our testing process adheres strictly to international standards, including API 607, API 6FA, and ISO 10497.
Test Parameters
- Pressure Rating: Up to CL 2500
- Size Range: NPS ½ (DN 15) to NPS 14 (DN 600)
- Temperature Range: 650°C to 950°C
- Test Medium: Water
Fire Safe Testing Overview
During fire safe testing, the resistance of components against fire is evaluated under controlled conditions as specified by industry standards. The primary goal is to ensure the acceptable performance of these components during a fire incident, representing the critical time required to extinguish most fires.
The testing is conducted in a reinforced steel and brick bunker, ensuring the safety of personnel while allowing precise control of fire conditions and who witnessing the test . Advanced logging and monitoring systems record every relevant parameter during the test.
The test results are assessed based on the internal seat leakage and external leakage of the valve across different stages: before, during, and after fire exposure. Valves pass the test when leakage remains within the acceptable limits defined by the applicable standard.
Why Fire Safe Testing is Essential
- Industrial Safety: Ensures protection of facilities and personnel during fire incidents.
- Damage Mitigation: Helps limit potential damage by validating valve performance in extreme conditions.
- Compliance: Assists industries in meeting stringent safety regulations and enhancing customer and investor trust.
- Operational Continuity: Regular testing reinforces the reliability of industrial processes, minimizing the risks of failure or leaks.
Test Report and Certification
Upon successful completion of testing, a detailed test report and certificate are provided. This certificate outlines compliance with all standards and includes a description of other qualified valves. Third-party witnessing or live-stream monitoring of the test is also available upon request.
EPSSAT ensures your components are fire-ready and certified to meet the most rigorous industry standards!
